10:00 a.m. – 6 p.m.  Permian Basin Knockerballs at the Crane ISD Track Field sponsored by Sheepdog Promotions and Permian Basin Knockerballs.

11:00 a.m.  Registration for the Homemade Cake and Pie Contest at the Exhibition Building in the Buffalo Room .  Sponsored by the Lion’s Club.

2 p.m.  Kid’s Ranch Fun Day – 4-H Arena sponsored by the Crane County Cowboy Church.  Register at the arena. Free registration.

4 p.m.- The Goodnight Living Round Table Discussion and Question and Answer session Multipurpose Room at Crane Elementary School

5:00 p.m.- Author Book Signing following the Roundtable Discussion at the Multipurpose Room at Crane Elementary School

5 p.m. – Goat Roping Round 2.  Crane County 4-H Arena.  Registration on Site for the Event.                                                      

5 p.m. Crane County Youth Center’s Kickball tournament  $40 per team; benefits CCYC Summer Track.  Sponsored by the Crane County Youth Center.  Contact Trisha Barker

Civil War Camp and Western Reenactments in the park throughout the day

7:00 p.m.:  Lonesome Dove Part 1 Movie Night Crane High School Auditorium Admission Fee: $1.00 or two cans of non-perishable food for the Crane County Food Bank

2-4 p.m. – Painting Class with Mike Capron.  Enjoy the afternoon learning the basics of creating your own painting.  In honor of the holiday each student will carry home a beautiful American flag canvas piece that they personally create under the direction of Mike Capron.  Supplies will be provided.  Cost $20. July 4th Annual Community Parade– Participants are invited to join in the parade by lining up at the Ekklesia Church  parking lot by 9:30 a.m.; For parade info contact Sally Dodd.

10 a.m.  Crane County 4th of July parade Gaston Street, Crane presented by City/County of Crane, TX

11:00 a.m.  Vendors Open, Kid’s Festival Opens at the Park

11:00 – Til Dark- Antique Car and Hot Rod Car Show- In Front of Crane Elementary School

11 – 7 p.m. Vendors/ Food at the Exhibition Building and Park; Art Gallery and Show/ Sale – Senior Center on 6th Street

11: 30 a.m- 12:30 p.m.  Interpretive History Session with Sylvia Mahoney. Presentation Title: Marking the Great Western Trail From Mexico to Canada. It includes the hotel  where Oliver Loving  “Gus” died. Location:  Crane Elementary School.  Free and Open to the Public.  Book signing following presentation.

Immediately After the Parade – 1 p.m.  Operation Candy Buy Back for Soldiers.  Texas Road House Tent near Chuck Wagon Aisle.  Sponsored by Texas Roadhouse, Odessa, TX
